While uTech is the hub of technology campuswide, we work with many other technology areas across campus to incorporate technology into Western's teaching, learning, and administrative operations helping to ensure that Western is able to demonstrate its values, achieve its goals, and honor its mission.

Administrative Information Management Systems (AIMS)

AIMS provides Western with centralized information systems and support for Administration and Planning and Administrative Systems.

Center for the Application of Information Technologies (CAIT)

CAIT, a center within uTech, provides innovative and practical technology solutions (web applications, mobile technology), technical consulting, and sound e-learning on campus as well as to external clients such as state agencies, educational institutions, businesses, and public agencies.

Electronic Student Services (ESS)

ESS is responsible for technology planning, web and applications development, and network operations for the Division of Student Services and provides the Division with information systems that assist in improving delivery of services to students and prospective students.

Quad Cities Technology

The WIU-QC technology team supports a wide array of technical needs spanning 8 locations in the Quad Cities area, supporting standard electronic and video conferencing classrooms at the 60th Street Campus and and Riverfront buildings as well as 4 teaching labs and 2 open labs.
