Lebel Awarded Quad City Engineering and Science Council Scholarship

MOLINE, IL - - High school senior Zachary Lebel, of Sherrard, IL, has been selected for the Quad City Engineering and Science Council Scholarship (QCESC).

To be eligible for the QCESC scholarship, which was created in collaboration with Western Illinois University, a student must have a 3.4 GPA and a 30 ACT score; be studying engineering at WIU and be a resident of the Quad Cities area.

Lebel, who plans to major in mechanical engineering at WIU, is a senior at Sherrard High School. In high school, he has participated in cross country and track during all four years of high school, serving as captain of the cross country team his senior year. He is a member of the STEM Club and the Scholastic Bowl team. He competed in the WYSE testing and the QCESC Bridge Building competition, and he was named an Illinois State Scholar.
