Financial Aid
Loans
Loans are often a necessary means of financing education and are available for both students and parents. While educational loans are an investment in your future, they should still be borrowed with careful consideration.
Because loans must be repaid, exhaust all other sources of aid and borrow only what is absolutely necessary. What are your career goals, and how much educational debt you can reasonably afford? Note that loan repayments can become burdensome when monthly repayment amounts exceed 8% of your monthly adjusted gross income.
Remember that borrowing is a serious responsibility – save all documentation sent to you by your lender for future reference.
