Additional Assistance
- Grant and scholarship programs are available through the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) and Federal Student Aid (FSA), including Teacher Education Scholarship Programs such as:

Talent grants are available from some WIU departments for extracurricular involvement. Contact the appropriate WIU department for more information.
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) is available for students who are Illinois residents, have minor/dependent children, and meet all other eligibility requirements. Funding is limited.
- Certain Illinois residents age 65 or older may be eligible for a Senior Citizens Tuition Waiver .
- Graduate assistantships and tuition waivers are available for graduate students.
- The Grant Program for Exonerees is a grant intended for individuals who have been pardoned by the Governor on the grounds of innocence of the crime for which they have been imprisoned. If you believe you qualify for this grant program, apply through the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC).
