BOT Meeting March 26

MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees will discuss the annual assessment and evaluation process for WIU President Al Goldfarb; will consider a resolution to borrow funds or establish a line of credit if the Illinois State Legislature passes legislation allowing universities to borrow money to pay salaries and other expenses should the cash flow situation require such borrowing; and will review a second reading of revised benefits for coaches at the Friday, March 26 Board meeting in the University Union Capitol Rooms on the WIU-Macomb campus.
The WIU Board will begin at 8 a.m. with a scheduled executive session in accordance with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act. The open meeting will resume at approximately 9 a.m., following the executive session.
Other items on the Board's agenda include approval to begin the architectural and design planning process for the renovation of the University Union entryway and for the installation of a public elevator for access to the Union Heritage Room (at a cost not to exceed $750,000 - non-instructional capital projects) and approval for an engineering firm to complete the heating plant and steam line repairs on the WIU-Macomb campus.
The Board will hear the first reading of the Institutional Self-Study for Re-Accreditation and will hear reports on investment activities, contributions and financial aid.
The next Board of Trustees meeting will be held June 4 at the WIU-QC 60th Street campus in Moline.
