MOLINE/MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University's ice hockey club will make its debut at the i wireless Center in Moline at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6 when it takes on the Southern Illinois University ice hockey team.
The ice hockey club will play a second game at the i wireless Center, also versus SIU's ice hockey club, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.
"We are very grateful to the staff at the i wireless Center and the Quad City Mallards for their support of our ice hockey club and their great cooperation," Gary Rowe, director of development at the WIU-QC campus, said.
Both games are open free to the public; donations are welcome and will help the club pay for necessary equipment and travel expenses.
According to Rowe, the ice hockey club will also be playing at the i wireless Center on Friday, Feb. 5 and Saturday, Feb. 6.
