WIU Welcomed High School Counselors For Luncheon Feb. 26

MACOMB, IL— Nearly 50 high school counselors from the Chicagoland area attended a luncheon hosted by Western Illinois University's Undergraduate Admissions Office on February 26. The event provided updates on the university's programs, student support services and campus developments.
A panel of WIU representatives shared insights into various academic and student success initiatives. Panelists included:
Justin Schuch, vice president for Student Success
Amanda Silberer, chair of Speech Pathology and Audiology
Tammy Killian, chair of Theatre and Dance
Tammie Leigh Brown, New Student and Family Programs
Erika Lowe Mullins, WIU Board of Trustees member and WIU Alumni Association representative
Kathy Cordova, WIU Admissions ambassador and current WIU student
"We loved providing the updates to the high school counselors. Our panelists provided excellent updates and received great feedback from our guests," Kate Romanaggi, WIU associate director for Chicagoland recruitment said.
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive.
"You had the most comprehensive college event I have ever been to. Kudos," an attendee said.
