Just Hired: John Hunt

Just Hired! Through the experiences of local, regional, national and international students, Western Illinois University has some incredible alumni who are changing
the world in the workforce. This series will feature students from all over the world who are hired post-graduation.

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - Meet John Hunt, a Spring 2024 graduate in General Studies with a minor in Psychology and Sociology, who recently accepted a position at Spot Inc. in Third Party Logistics.

Hunt was active in keeping his LinkedIn and professional profile up to date while applying for positions. After applying, Hunt went through a three-step process interview, including an exam.

"I applied to multiple companies and networked within the industry," Hunt said.

Hunt credits WIU for helping him make the connections needed to get the job.

"I not only made connections but learned to never turn down an opportunity," Hunt said.

"I plan to stay involved in WIU by coming back to visit my former track teammates and by making donations to Western since they played a huge part in my career success," Hunt concluded.
