University Union Cooling Center

MACOMB, IL - - Due to the regional power outages, summer temperatures and high humidity affecting the region, the University Union on the Western Illinois University-Macomb campus is designated as a cooling center for area residents.
The University Union is open from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. A drinking water refilling station is located near the University Union Bookstore entrance and on the first floor near the Office of Student Engagement. Vending machines are available in the lower level. The Union is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
The campus recreation center is open until 7 p.m. today (Friday, June 30), tomorrow (July 1) from 8 a.m.-noon and Sunday (July 2) 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for anyone who needs to utilize the showers.
Thompson Hall food court will be open from 4:30-6:30 p.m. today, and is cash only. It will reopen Monday, July 3 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 4:30-6:30 p.m.
