MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - Throughout March Western Illinois University will honor Women's History Month with a schedule full of events.

This year's theme for the national celebration is "Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Story."

"Women are the backbone of our civilization, and it is important to recognize the many stories they tell," WIU Women's Center (WC) Graduate Assistant 'Damilola Abiodun-Adewusi said. "Women's History Month is an opportunity to celebrate women's history, accomplishments and experiences in our world. We honor the women who speak out, inspire others and share their stories. They are today's trailblazers and their voices make our world a better place for future generations.
