Director of Internal Auditing Interviews Set

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- Two candidates will interview Friday, Nov. 18 and Monday, Nov. 21 for the Western Illinois University Director of Internal Auditing.
Michael Sartorius, chief internal auditor for the Illinois Department on Aging, in Springfield, IL, will be on the Macomb campus Friday, Nov. 18. An open session will be held at noon via Zoom (https://wiu.zoom.us/j/3061324948).
Sartorius has served as the chief internal auditor for the Illinois Department on Aging since 2020. Previously, he was the director of internal auditing (2015-20) and audit manager (2007-15) at WIU; audit manager (2007) at State Central Bank in Keokuk, IA; and loan review and credit analyst (2006-07) and assistant internal auditor (1997-06) at MidAmerica National Bank in Macomb.
He received his MBA and his Bachelor of Business degree from WIU.
Rita Moore, director of internal auditor and chief internal auditor for Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, will be on the Macomb campus Monday, Nov. 21. An open session will be held at noon via Zoom (https://wiu.zoom.us/j/3061324948).
Moore has served in her current role since 2017. Previously, she was chief internal auditor for the State of Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (2016-17) in Springfield, IL; director of internal auditing for WIU (2006-15); associate director of auditing services-information technology for Northwestern University (2005-06) in Evanston, IL; independent contractor in St. Louis, MO (2005); manager of information technology audit services for Catholic Healthcare Audit Network (2000-04) in St. Louis; account receivables manager for Intracorp (1998-99) in Itasca, IL; senior project manager/data administrator (1994-98) and director of financial planning, systems development (1993-94), financial control auditor (1991-93), and regional staff accountant/finance manager (1988-91) for Cigna Dental Health, Inc. in Plantation, FL; staff auditor (1986-88) for Devry, Inc. in Evanston, IL; and staff auditor for Dekalb Corporation (1985-86) in Dekalb, IL.
She is a registered certified public accountant and a certified information systems auditor, and Moore received her bachelor's degree in accounting from Western.
