Knoblauch Cafe Opens for Carry-Out Meals Feb. 25

MACOMB, IL – The Knoblauch Café will open for the Spring 2021 semester Thursday, Feb. 25, and will serve carry-out meals from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. on Thursdays in the Knoblauch Hall Corporate Dining Room, 238.

Each meal is $7, which includes a beverage and dessert.

The meals are organized and run by students in the WIU Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration (RPTA). The Knoblauch Café provides students with hands-on experience running a foodservice facility.

PayPal can be used to pay for meals reserved online and cash and checks will be accepted during meal pick-up.

This semester's menu includes:

Feb. 25
Hawaiian ham and cheese sliders
Vegetarian: Hawaiian roll caprese sliders
Loaded baked potato soup
Ghirardelli salted caramel brownie

March 4
Turkey panini
Vegetarian: Veggie panini
Broccoli cheese soup
Vanilla confetti cupcake

March 11
Penne pasta with tomato cream sauce
with or without grilled chicken
Caesar salad
Garlic breadstick
Cherry turnover

March 18
Chicken quesadilla
Vegetarian: Veggie quesadilla
Southwest corn salad with tortilla chips
Raspberry cheesecake cupcake

March 25
Lemon chicken picatta
Vegetarian: Vegetable picatta
Twice baked potato
Green bean almandine
Gooey butter cake

April 1
