MACOMB/MOLINE – Western Illinois University is now a Handshake campus, adding another tool to help students connect with potential employers.

The WIU Career Development Office maintains the University's Handshake site, which helps students not only search for careers after graduation, but also jobs available on campus.

"Handshake not only provides a link to an incredibly comprehensive and extensive job board, but it creates a community where it connects students to employers," said WIU Career Coordinator Mandi McRaven. "It allows students to connect with alumni in their field of interest, current or past employees of particular companies and then also to follow employers of their choice."

The Handshake site offers the opportunity to search for full- or part-time positions, as well as internships. Students can activate their profile, using their ECOM username and password, at wiu.joinhandshake.com.

For more information on navigating the site, email McRaven at SA-Mcraven@wiu.edu.
