John S. Klasner Obituary

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University Professor Emeritus John S. Klasner passed away July 15 in Marquette, MI.
A private service and interment of his ashes will held in Calumet, MI, at a later date.
Klasner began working at WIU in September 1972 and retired in December 1998. He was a professor of geology and directed WIU's Centennial Honors College from 1994-1998. He served as president of WIU's chapter of Phi Kappa Phi in 1993.
Klasner is survived by his wife, Gretchen; his children, Chris, Fritz, Laura and Paul; seven grandchildren; and three sisters.
