UPDATE: March 29-30 Experience Western canceled. Possible rescheduling in April. Stay tuned for updates.

MACOMB, IL – Because of the overwhelming response to Western Illinois University's special overnight visit program, Experience Western, an additional event has been added to the calendar later this month.

Experience Western gives accepted students the chance to take part in college life to see first-hand what their time at WIU will be like. The 1.5 day program includes spending the night in a residence hall, eating in on-campus dining facilities and attending classes with a current Western student. The maximum enrollment for the program is 60 participants.

As there are just a few spots left for the April 19-20 Experience Western, an additional program will be held March 29-30.

"I was on the fence, but after spending a day at WIU, it really gave me an in-depth view. After the end of the program, I realized this might be the place for me. I'm really looking forward to coming to WIU," said a participant from the Feb. 9-10 Experience Western.

"This experience was what made me pick WIU over another Illinois public university," added another Feb. 9-10 attendee.

To register for the March 29-30 or April 19-20 Experience Western, visit wiu.edu/experiencewestern.
