MACOMB, IL – "Hate Has No Home Here." That's the message that Western Illinois University wants to shout from the rooftops, and members of the University and Macomb-area communities can help spread the word. "Hate Has No Home Here" posters are now available at no cost through the WIU Multicultural Center (MCC).

Students, faculty, staff and area business owners/managers interested in obtaining the 8.5 x 11 in. full color poster/flier, while supplies last, can request a poster by visiting bit.ly/HateHasNoHomeHerePoster. Posters can be picked up at WIU's Multicultural Center from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Fridays, or the Macomb Chamber of Commerce, 214 N. Lafayette St. Chamber hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

"Individuals who display the poster are demonstrating – and acknowledging - they will uphold a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will help to create a culture of understanding and belonging," said MCC Program Coordinator Carl Ervin.

The Hate Has No Home Here campaign is sponsored by the MCC and student leaders, WIU Interim President Martin Abraham, the University Diversity Council, the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Macomb.
