MACOMB, IL – For area students who are beginning the college search process, the annual Illinois Regional College Fair will be hosted by Western Illinois University Thursday, Sept. 12. The fair, which will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. in the WIU Donald S. Spencer Student Recreation Center on the WIU-Macomb campus, will feature representatives from Western Illinois University and other public and private Midwestern universities.

Students are encouraged to complete registration prior to attending the fair. After completing registration, students will receive a unique bar code that college and university representatives can scan, saving students time from completing individual information cards.

An automatic scholarship covering two-thirds of tuition costs is offered to high school seniors who choose to attend WIU classes prior to high school graduation. High school students who are enrolled at Western are not charged for student fees or on-campus housing. More information about the tuition discount is available at wiu.edu/highschool. Participating students will also benefit from Western's Cost Guarantee that locks in tuition, fee, room and meal plan rates for four years.

For a more in-depth Western experience, Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 Discover Western open house events will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, Monday, Oct. 14, Saturday, Oct. 26, Monday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, April 4. Individual tours may also be scheduled.
