McMurtery, Roming Offer Lecture/Recital Sept. 20

MACOMB, IL— Western Illinois University School of Music Associate Professor John McMurtery and Professor James Romig will perform a faculty lecture/recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday Sept. 20 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication Recital Hall.

The event is open free to the public.

Romig, a composer, and McMurtery, a flutist, will discuss a specific pair of projects they have undertaken during their 20 years of musical collaboration. There will also be time devoted to audience questions.

The program will begin with a performance of "Sonnet 2," followed by discussion of some of the work's notable features.
