Sept. 23 Brassfest to Feature Tower Brass of Chicago

MACOMB, IL – The annual Brassfest event will be held at Western Illinois University Sunday, Sept. 23 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The event is sponsored by the WIU School of Music and BCA and will feature members of the WIU brass faculty.

Brassfest is a daylong festival, featuring performances and clinics. The event will also feature a BCA performance by Tower Brass of Chicago at 7:30 p.m. Tower Brass of Chicago is a group of freelance artists, often performing with such groups as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant Park Symphony and the Ravinia Festival Orchestra.

Admission for the BCA performance is $15 for the public and $10 for senior citizens, WIU employees and youth. WIU students will be admitted free with valid student identification. Tickets can be purchased at BCABringstheStars.com.
