Pendarvis Named Director of Donor Relations

MACOMB, IL – Abbie Pendarvis, associate director of the Monmouth (College) Fund, has been named the director of donor relations at WIU, effective July 1. Pendarvis replaces Amanda Shoemaker who has accepted a position at the University of Iowa.
Pendarvis has served as associate director of the Monmouth Fund since October 2016. In this role, she was responsible for the annual fund's strategic planning, as well as donor communication and stewardship. Previously, she was the assistant manager of summer programs and conference services at Washington University in St. Louis from January-October 2016. Pendarvis has also served as the conference coordinator for summer programs and conference services at Washington University (2015-2016); as the event manager for the Peoria Civic Center (2014-2015) and as the lifestyle/events coordinator for the Silver Palms RV Resort in Florida (2013-2014).
"Abbie's background in higher education and in event management and planning will allow her to further enhance our donor relations program and will be a wonderful addition to the Division of Advancement and Public Services," said Vice President for Advancement and Public Services Brad Bainter.
Pendarvis received her bachelor's degree from WIU.
