Wingerter Named CBT Director of Development

MACOMB, IL -- Jeremy Wingerter, director of development at the University of Southern California (USC) Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, has been named director of development for the Western Illinois University College of Business and Technology, effective July 1.

Wingerter has served as the director of development at USC since August 2015. Previously, he was the director of alumni relations for the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences from 2011-2015. Wingerter has also served as senior associate director of alumni clubs and communities (2010-2011) and as the associate director of lifecycle programs (2008-2010) for the USC Alumni Association; as the associate director of career services (2006-2008) and assistant director of career services (2004-2006) at Northwestern University's Alumni Association and the assistant director of the Center for Student Involvement at Norris University Center (2001-2004).

"We look forward to Jeremy joining the Division of Advancement and Public Services," said Paul Bubb, executive director of development. "His many years of higher education experience and familiarity with Western and the region will provide outstanding support for the College of Business and Technology and the University."

Wingerter earned his master's and bachelor's degrees from Iowa State University, and his associate degree from John Wood Community College in Quincy. He is completing an Ed.D. at the University of Southern California.

The director of development reports to the executive director of development in the WIU Foundation and Development Office, and provides overall leadership for the college's fundraising program, with primary emphasis on securing major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations to support academic priorities of the college and the goals and objectives of the University's strategic plan "Higher Values in Higher Education."
