Casa Latina to Host 'La Calle Murray' April 28

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Casa Latina Cultural Center will present its "La Calle Murray" celebration from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, April 28 in front of the Multicultural Center.

Calle Murray is a cultural festival and is a day to celebrate the Latinx Community on the WIU campus. This event will bring the campus and Macomb community together to engage in the rich history and culture of different Latinx countries and cultures.

WIU's Latinx students represent different cultures via traditional food, diverse music and performances, dance and many educational crafts and art stations.

Food, music and performances will be featured at this event. This event is for all ages and is open free to the public.

The event is sponsored by Alpha Psi Lambda, the Calle Murray Planning Committee, CSAF, the Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center, LASO, Sigma Lambda Beta, Tradicion, UGC, the University Union Board and the WIU Women's Center.
