WIU Board to Consider FY19 Tuition, Cost Guarantee Recommendations

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees will consider the 2018-2019 Cost Guarantee (tuition, fees, room and meal plan) recommendations for undergraduate and graduate students entering in Fall 2018 at the Friday, March 23 meeting in Macomb.

The WIU Board's open meeting will begin at 8 a.m. Friday in the University Union Capitol Rooms. A scheduled closed session, in accordance with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 22 in the Corbin-Olson e-classroom.

The Board will consider keeping undergraduate and graduate tuition level for the third consecutive year, and fees, room and meal plan rates level for the second consecutive year.

The Board will consider the FY19 student health insurance fee recommendation and the recommendations for honorary doctorate recipients. Other action items on the Board agenda include a utility easement, a resolution for predictable funding, release of closed meeting minutes, the 2019 meeting schedule and the IUOE-AFL-CIO Local Union 399 Landscape Maintenance contract.

The Board will also hear reports on contributions, debt compliance, FY18 performance, financial aid, the President's Executive Institute and FY18 planning and results.
