Rocky Quest Set for Oct. 15

MACOMB, IL – The Macomb and campus communities will come together from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 for a unique competition to raise money for the Western Illinois University Rocky on Parade Scholarship Fund.

Rocky Quest, sponsored by the WIU College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC), will feature a chance for members of both communities to take photographs with all of the Rocky on Parade statues in Macomb. The photos will then be uploaded to social media with #RockyQuest for a chance at a variety of prizes.

Numerous sponsors will have giveaways, games and activities for those participating in Rocky Quest. At 3 p.m., an event party will be held at the Sports Corner, 124 N. Randolph St., where food and drink specials will be offered.

Prizes will also be awarded for the funniest photo caption, the most creative photo and the photo that gets the most "likes" on social media.

Rocky Quest maps will be available between 10 a.m.-noon during the Moon Over Macomb event, which is planned in downtown Macomb the same day. Maps can also be found at wiu.edu/rop.
