MACOMB, IL — Western Illinois University's Fall 2015 Move-In weekend activities will officially kick off at 8 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21.

This year's full Move-In Weekend schedule is listed below, and more information about WIU's Move-In process is also available at www.wiu.edu/student_services/housing/living_on_campus/fallMoveIn.php.

Friday, Aug. 21

  • 8 a.m. Residence Hall Move-In begins — Residence Halls
  • 5:30-6:15 p.m. New Student Convocation — Western Hall
  • 6:15-7 p.m. President's Family Picnic — Campus Mall (southwest of the Donald S. Spencer Student Recreation Center)
  • 8 p.m. Floor Connection — Residence Halls
  • 8:30 p.m. Rocky After Dark: First Night Fun — Hanson Field

Saturday, Aug. 22

  • 9 a.m. Leatherneck Legacy — Western Hall
    You are officially a Fighting Leatherneck! Join us to kick off the school year, learn about WIU traditions and begin your Leatherneck Legacy at Western Illinois University!
  • 10:30 a.m. Class of 2019 Photo — Hanson Field (football field)
  • 11:15 a.m. Meet the Majors — various locations
  • 11:15 a.m. Explore the Majors — University Union Heritage Room
  • 11:30-1:30 p.m. Lunch — Residence Hall Dining Centers open
  • 3 p.m. Where Are My Classes? — leaving from multiple locations
  • 5 p.m. Block Party — Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner Halls
  • 5:30 p.m. Dinner available – outside Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner Halls
  • 7:30 p.m. Comedy Hypnosis & Magic with David Hall — University Union Grand Ballroom
  • 8:30 p.m. Light Up the Night! — Vince Grady Field
    Paint blasters and cannons will douse attendees with gallons and gallons of liquid glow-in-the-dark neon paint. Two DJs will be there, and free t-shirts, glow-in-the-dark necklaces and wristbands will be distributed. Paint is certified non-toxic and biodegradable and is washable.

Sunday, Aug. 23

  • 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Where Are My Classes? – Leaving from multiple locations
  • 2 p.m. Multicultural Student Orientation for Collegiate Success – Multicultural Center
  • 4:30 p.m. Commuter/Transfer Orientation – University Union Capitol Room
  • 4:30-6 p.m. Hall Dinner – Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner Halls
  • 7:00-8:30 p.m. Floor Meetings – Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner Halls

Classes begin at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24. Activities and events will continue to take place around campus throughout the first two weeks of classes.
