MACOMB, IL - Guests at the upcoming Western Illinois University Commercial Music Ensemble Concert, "A Love Story," might think they have stepped into a coffeehouse, rather than the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall Saturday, April 18.

The concert, which begins at 8 p.m. and is open free to the public, will be more "show" than "concert," as singers incorporate dialogue and music into a coffeehouse set on stage.

This is the only concert of the year for this ensemble. Music for the event is pulled from Ben Folds, Charlie Parker, Jason Mraz and others.

"This isn't a concert," said Brad Pierson, assistant professor of choral music education and director of the WIU Commercial Music Ensemble. "This is a love story."
