'Jane Eyre' to be Performed at WIU

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Theatre and Dance will present its mainstage production of "Jane Eyre," at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, April 17-18 and Tuesday-Thursday, April 21-23 in the Hainline Theatre.

The dramatic musical interpretation of the famous novel by Charlotte Bronte is a tragic and romantic story. Directed by MFA directing graduate student Erik Wagner, the production features a cast of 19 WIU students.

A special pre-reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18, as a celebration of book clubs and book lovers in the area.

Admission is $15 for the public, $13 for senior citizens, WIU employees and youth and free for WIU students with valid student identification. Tickets are available by calling (309) 298-2900, at etix.com/ticket/online/organizationSearch.jsp?organization_id=2419&cobrand=wiu) or at the door.
