'National Anthem' Banquet at WIU Nov. 20

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University Food and Culture Club will host its "National Anthem" banquet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 in the University Union Grand Ballroom.
The event is in celebration of the 200th anniversary of "The Star-Spangled Banner" and will feature the history of the National Anthem and the American flag, ROTC presentation of colors, fashion of the 1800s, a live choir, the Swing Dance Club and a talk on food rations over the last 200 years.
A banquet meal will finish out the evening featuring foods from colonial America. The event is open free to all WIU students, faculty and staff. Seating starts at 5:30 p.m.
