MACOMB, IL -- After a long, cold winter, it's just about bicycle season once again. Beginning this week, the Western Illinois University "Rocky Bikes" program has come out of hibernation for the spring semester.

Launched in March 2010, the Rocky Sustains program allows students, faculty and staff to check out one of 13 bicycles for 48 hours. To register for the free bike rental program, reserve or return bikes, individuals must bring their WIU ID to the Facilities Management front desk Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Facilities Management is located on the north end of the Macomb campus, across from Thompson Hall.

After registering to use a bicycle, individuals will be provided with a code to unlock the bike.
