MACOMB, IL - Western Illinois University will host the final event of Dance Marathon on Saturday, Feb. 1 from noon to midnight in the University Union Heritage Room.

Dance Marathon is a yearlong effort that raises money and awareness for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The end event will consist of participants remaining on their feet for 12 hours in honor of doctors' and nurses' shifts as well as children who are unable to stand

WIU Dance Marathon is specifically raising money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals of Greater St. Louis. The money raised will be split between St. Louis Children's Hospital and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center because if a child from Macomb were to get sick, they would most likely receive medical care from one of these hospitals.

The event will have dancing, games, performances and stories from children who have been or are being treated at CMN hospitals.
