University Band Concert April 25

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Music's University Band will perform at 5:30 p.m. tonight (April 25) in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The band will perform: "Toccata for Band," by Frank Erickson, "Loch Lomond," by Frank Ticheli, "Second Prelude," by George Gershwin, "Novo Lenio," by Samuel Hazo, "On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss," by David R. Holsinger and "Overture for Winds," by Charles Carter.

The following students will conduct the performance: Laura Reynolds (graduate music education student, Macomb), Robert Palmer (graduate music student, East Moline, IL), Alyssa Eichen (graduate music student, Macomb), John Gonzalez (senior music education major, Calumet City, IL), Ruben Puha (sophomore music education major, Burbank, IL) and Vanessa Montelongo (graduate music student, Laredo, TX).

The concert is open free to the public.
