MACOMB, IL - - Experience a one of a kind William Shakespeare play with The Improvised Shakespeare Company at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11 in Western Illinois University's College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Presented by the BCA, the Improvised Shakespeare Company takes audience suggestions on a theme for a play and puts an Elizabethan twist on it. The shows are unrehearsed, but they are full of star-crossed lovers, power struggles, swordplay, royalty and other aspects expected in a typical Shakespeare play.

The Improvised Shakespeare Company was founded in 2005 and performed every night at the iO Theatre in Chicago for six years. They have performed at the Piccolo Spoleto Fringe Festival, Off Broadway in New York City, the Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival and Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and Chicago. The Chicago Reader and Chicago Examiner both named it Chicago's Best Improve Group, and they received New York Nightlife Award for "Best Comedic Performance by a Group."

Tickets for the WIU show, available at bcabringsthestars.com/tickets, are $15 for the public, $10 for WIU employees, senior citizens and youth and free for WIU students with valid identification.

Tickets are also available at the Hainline Box Office Noon to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday or call (309) 298-2900.
