Supply Chain Management at WIU-QC March 5

MOLINE - Western Illinois University's Department of Management and Marketing will host Supply Chain Management Day in the Quad Cities Tuesday, March 5, as a networking opportunity for supply chain students.

The programming, in partnership with Black Hawk College and Eastern Iowa Community College, will be held at the WIU-Quad Cities Riverfront Campus in Moline, IL.

Corporate partners can meet with students from WIU and the community colleges, as well as present about career and internship opportunities. Companies attending the event include ADM, the Rock Island Arsenal, Trinity Logistics, ULINE, Cobham Mission Systems, Group O, the HON Company and Colony Brands Inc. The local chapter of the Institute for Supply Management, NAPM-QC, will also be present.

Supply Chain Management Day in the Quad Cities begins at noon with lunch for corporate and educational institution participants. A discussion and presentation of supply chain management and logistics education programming in the Quad Cities region will be held in rooms 103 and 104. The event runs from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in rooms 103 and 104 and in the Al and Elaine Goldfarb Grand Atrium.

Dinner with company representatives, students and faculty and staff, followed by NAPM-QC sponsored speaker, Maxine Brand, begins at 5:15 p.m. at the Stoney Creek Inn, Moline.

Undergraduate supply chain management majors and minors, pre-business majors and MBA students and community college logistics degree students interested in related careers are invited to attend.

There is no cost to attend the event, but registration is required by contacting Audrey Adamson, WIU-QC Career Services at anw-adamson@wiu.edu.
