MACOMB, IL — The Western Illinois University Counseling Center is offering WIU students, faculty and staff members the opportunity to learn more about how nutrition and eating habits can affect health at the annual Eating Wellness Screening Day.

Scheduled for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at the University Counseling Center (Memorial Hall, first floor), the event will teach participants about healthy eating attitudes and behaviors.

Eating Wellness Screening Day attendees will also receive informational material and view a brief video about the causes, symptoms and treatments for eating disorders. In addition, participants will be able to discuss their individual results with a counselor, as well as take part in a free, anonymous eating attitudes screening. Participants should allow approximately 60 minutes for the process.

Eating Wellness Screening Day is open free to WIU, students, faculty and staff members, and no appointment is necessary to attend.
