"You Can Major in That?" RPTA Discovery Showcase Set for Feb. 18

MACOMB, IL – Why not major in recreation? No really, the Western Illinois University Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration (RPTA) is hosting the "You Can Major in That?" RPTA Discovery Showcase from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 in the University Union Prairie Lounge. The event will provide students with information about career opportunities in the field and is open free to the public.
Current RPTA students will be on hand to answer questions about the major and field, and attendees will be able to gather information about career possibilities in such positions and jobs as resort activity director, cruise ship personnel, outdoor educational specialist, sports complex director, camp director, community center director and more. Each attendee is encouraged to bring a friend, and both names will be entered into a drawing for a free large pizza. Refreshments will also be provided.
