WIU-Macomb, Quad Cities Campuses Closed Friday, Dec. 21

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – The Western Illinois University-Macomb and the WIU-Quad Cities campuses will remain closed Friday, Dec. 21 due to the extreme winter weather conditions that struck the region today (Dec. 20). Only those employees designated as essential should report to work as usual.

The University will observe winter break with holiday and administrative closure Monday, Dec. 24-Tuesday, Jan. 1.

The WIU policy on limiting University operations because of emergency conditions is available in the Administrative Procedures Handbook, which can be viewed at wiu.edu/policies/emergency.php.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Weather announcements for the WIU-Macomb campus are aired on the following radio and television stations: WIUM FM 91.3, WIUW FM 89.5, WJEQ FM 102.7, WNLF 95.9 FM, WMQZ FM 104.1, WKAI FM 100, WLMD-FM 104.7, WLRB AM 1510, WKXQ FM 92.5, WGILAM 1400, KFM 105.3, WAAG FM 95, WLSR 92.7, WGEM TV – Quincy (NBC), KHQA TV – Quincy (CBS) and WQAD TV – Moline (ABC). University Television will also broadcast the information on Macomb's Cable Channel 3.

WIU-QC weather announcements are aired on the following radio and television stations: Q106.5 FM, KUUL 101.3 FM, WLLR 103.7 FM, WVIK 90.3 FM, KQCS 93.5 FM, WXLP/KBOB 104.9 FM, KBEA 99.7 FM, KJOC 1170 AM, WDLM 960 AM, KWQC TV – Davenport, IA (NBC), WQAD TV – Moline (ABC), WHBF TV – Rock Island (CBS) and KLJB TV – Davenport, IA (Fox).
