MACOMB, IL - - The 11th annual Electro-Acoustic Music Macomb (EAMM) Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 in the Western Illinois University's College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

This year's concert will include traditional formats of fixed digital media, alone and with instruments, video, live processing and interactive computer music.

"Even for pieces that simply involve listening to black boxes, the conventions and traditions of the recital hall imbue the experience with characteristics of performance that cannot be replicated in the living room," said Jim Caldwell, WIU professor of music theory and composition and curator of EAMM.

The concert will feature student and faculty performers including, Chris Hass, a senior music major from Nauvoo, IL, Rebecca Malina, a senior music major from Forest Park, IL, Mila Gallardo, a freshman music major from Quito, Ecuador, Assistant Professor John McMurtery and Caldwell.

The program includes, "Among Fireflies," and "Dry Wind," by Elianie Lillios, "White Noise," by Dennis Miller, "Metropolitana," by Tom Lopez, video by Nate Pagel, "Elemental Vamp," by Allen Strange and "Chase," by Ken Paoli. Caldwell's recent works "Texturologie 15: Correspondences," "Texturologie 14: Strange Lines and Distances" and "Texturolgie 13: Plenum of Proof," will also be performed.

The concert is open free to the public.
