Kayla Rollings
Kayla is a first year Graduate Assistant in the University Counseling Center, and she is a first year student in the Clinical/Community Mental Health graduate program. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from Eastern Illinois University, and she worked as a Crisis Intervention Specialist before proudly becoming a WIU Leatherneck.
Following the completion of her graduate degree, Kayla aspires to work as a therapist in an outpatient setting, working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, phobias, and couples’/family issues. Her clinical interests lie in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and using a person-centered and mindfulness based approach to connect with and treat her clients.
Outside of work and school Kayla enjoys reading, playing video games, hanging out with her cats and her husband, and spending time in nature.
