Field Experiences

The Teacher Education Program at Western Illinois University is focused on the training of future educators for the "real world" in Pre-K-12 schools.

Students engage in pre-student teaching field experiences at (Pre-K-12) partnering schools for a portion of the school day while also attending classes on the WIU campus. During these experiences, candidates have the opportunity to observe, tutor, teach and immerse themselves in the Pre-K-12 environment prior to student teaching.
