Pre-Honors Requirements

If a Pre-Honors student earns an overall GPA of 3.4 or higher after their first semester in the program, they are eligible to join the Centennial Honors College as a full-fledged member. If a Pre-Honors student does not meet the 3.4 GPA requirement after their first semester, but has a 3.2 GPA or higher, they will be able to remain in the Pre-Honors Program for one additional semester.  In addition to the preceding GPA requirements, any student that joins the Centennial Honors College Pre-Honors Program must complete the following:

Meet with your Pre-Honors Academic Advisor throughout the semester.  1st semester PH students must meet with their advisor 2 times while 2nd semester PH students must do so 3 times.  
1st semester Pre-Honors students: Attend Pre-Honors Recruitment Session on Tuesday, September 25th @ 4 pm or Wednesday, September 26th @ 2 pm in Stipes 121.
1st semester Pre-Honors students: Attend/Shadow a minimum of 1 honors course and provide a reflection of the experience.  Must be completed by Friday, November 30th.

 

 

Attend Leatherneck Success Team sessions for a minimum of three hours for 1st semester PH students and five hours for 2nd semester PH students.
Attend a minimum of two events facilitated by the Honors Mentors or Student Honors Association.
Ask questions, learn about the Honors College, and most importantly, earn a 3.4 cumulative GPA!
