Fire Protection Services

Honors in the Major Requirements
Course Requirements:
  • GH 299 (1 sh)
    (if not already completed for General Honors)
  • 6 sh of in-course Honors projects in 200 level or above Fire Protection Services courses
  • 3 sh in-course Honors project in student’s minor area of study or in related FPS specialty (FPS specialty examples: Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Public Administration)
  • FS 492 - Honors Internship (3 sh) (for Fire Science option) or 3 sh in-course Honors projects in 200 level or above Fire Protection Services courses (Fire Medic and Fire Administration options)
Grade Point Average Requirements:
  • 3.4 cumulative GPA
  • 3.4 cumulative GPA in Honors courses
