Research Compliance Overview

The Office of Sponsored Projects is committed to the highest standards of scientific and scholarly integrity. All sponsored projects and research activities at WIU are governed by institutional, federal and state policies or laws. The links below provide specific policies, procedures, forms and committee contact information for a variety of university compliance areas.

Please allow 7-10 business days for your IRB application to be processed. Protocols are processed on a first come, first serve basis. Processing time may vary based upon the volume of protocols under review. The IRB will confirm receipt of your protocol and send you notifications as the protocol is processed. The IRB will send all official communication to your WIU email address.
