General Experimental Psychology Option
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
- have a broad knowledge of the subfields of experimental psychology
- have specialized knowledge of a particular subfield of experimental psychology
- possess knowledge of statistical techniques and research methods available for executing and interpreting research results
- demonstrate skill in public speaking
- demonstrate skill in written expression of ideas
- engage in original research
Clinical/Community Mental Health Option
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
- gather and integrate clinically relevant information using a variety of sources and procedures including clinical interviews and formal assessment instruments
- develop clear, theoretically consistent formulations of client functioning, and deriving and implementing treatment plans based upon these formulations
- form an integrated and professional clinical identity
