Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
- demonstrate leadership that is applied to continuously improve productivity in business and industry
- apply leadership knowledge about world-class manufacturing systems in a global economy
- apply knowledge of manufacturing strategies, agendas, and quality control to the leadership and management of people in world-class production entities
- demonstrate knowledge of the principles of world-class organizations and restructuring of manufacturing practices such as: lean thinking, lot sizes of one, elimination of waste, value stream determination, continuous improvement, and training
- demonstrate competency in oral, written, and graphic communication
- apply the environmental and social principles which are important in manufacturing settings
- provide leadership in the application of problem solving skills to industry
