Bookstore Annual Clearance Sale
WHEN: Thursday, April 11 - Saturday, April 13 (Thurs-Friday, 8am-5pm, Saturday, 10am-3pm)
WHERE: WIU Bookstore, University Union, Ground Floor
WHAT: Stock up on WIU merchandise by taking advantage of the WIU Bookstore Annual Clearance! Racks of clearance items and the rest of the store will be 20% off. This happens once a year so you won’t want to miss it!
The Western Connection Shop
WHEN: Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 10:30am-12:30pm, Thursdays & Fridays: 4:30pm-6:30pm, Saturdays: 9am-12pm

WHAT: Make some time to visit The Western Connection shop in the Macomb Train Station! The Western Connection shop specializes in WIU licensed apparel as well as unique gift items made by WIU alumni, departments and students.

Drag Show Bingo
WHEN: Saturday, April 13th from 7-9pm
WHERE: Grand Ballroom, University Union
WHAT: Come join in on one of the most popular activities on campus! The University Union Board, LGBTQA Resource Center and UNITY will be hosting a fun evening of FREE Bingo with lots of chances to win great prizes!

Saddle Up! Wild West Small Town Vendor Event
WHEN: Friday, April 12 @ 5pm-8pm
WHERE: The Small Towner Event Venue 6 West Side Square in Historic Downtown Macomb
WHAT: This FREE event is a vendor pop-up that will be showcasing small businesses from the area for a fun girls night out! Any age is welcome!
Paint Your Own Pottery
WHEN: Saturday, April 13th @ 10am-6pm
WHERE: The Crafty Coop on the Historic Downtown Macomb Square
WHAT: Moms Paint FREE (studio fee would be FREE when WIU student comes with) but would need to pay for pottery piece (averaging $10-$20 range) Lots to choose from!
Macomb School of Magic Sculpture Park
WHERE: Nestled at the edge of Downtown Macomb, Next to Citizens bank and the Macomb Post Office
WHAT: Each sculpture in this park reflects aspects of our local parks, as well as the history and culture of Macomb. Please feel free to try and pull the sword from our local stone, or see if you can find your face in the stack of local vases. Perhaps the spinning Zoetrope is more your kind of illusion, or the quirky movements of our local birds. However you choose to interact, we are glad you are here!
Everwood Disc Golf Course
WHERE: Glenwood Park
WHAT: This 18 hole course offers beautiful scenery throughout a variety of holes that start tight with a moderate covering of mature trees and change in relief and obstacles, finishing with long challenging open holes. The front nine, located in Glenwood Park, offers shorter holes with a mix of birdie chances with tight approaches. These holes are tree-laden rewarding accurate drives and punish wayward tee shots and approaches. Go have some fun!
Kayaking at Spring Lake
WHEN: Saturday, April 13th @10am-5pm
WHERE: Spring Lake Park
WHAT: Free Kayaking for any WIU student (with WIU ID) and their mom
**Disclaimer: Please note that with the cooler temperatures, kayaking may be unavailable. Hiking maps will be available instead.
Veterans Park QR Fit Trail
WHERE: Veterans Park
WHAT: This park offers over 1.7 miles of walking trails which includes QR fitness codes along the route with varying exercises. You will also find Outdoor fitness Equipment near the playground. We hope you enjoy a beautiful day of walking, running, or jogging!
Forgottonia Brewing
WHERE: Forgottonia Taproom on Friday, April 12 from 4pm-11pm; Saturday, April 13 from noon-11pm
WHAT: Stop in Forgottonia Brewing for food, beer and music. In addition to beer, Forgottonia also serves Guest Hard Cider, Local Wine on Tap, and canned cocktails . For Moms' Day, Forgottonia is offering $1 off flights.
Friday, April 12: Outside food and deliver is welcome and encouraged.
Saturday, April 13: Food Truck: Sandra's Authentic Mexican from Noon to 2pm & 4pm to 9pm; Live Music: Dan Eilers (Folk, Americana, Country & Blues)" will start at 7:00pm.
Sunday, April 14: Looking for a fun activity with your student? Check out Music BINGO at 4pm where the theme will be Viva Las Vegas.
