About Me
Dr. Park obtained her Ph.D. in Sport Management from University of Northern Colorado in 2018, master’s degree in Global Sport Industry from Hanyang University in 2015, and bachelor’s degree from Ajou University in 2013. Her research centers on College Athlete Development, Brand Management, and Sport Media.
Prior to joining WIU, Dr. Park worked as an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at Henderson State University for three years. Dr. Park also worked as an instructor in Educational Psychology (UNIV 101) at University of Northern Colorado while pursuing her doctoral degree.
As a Sport Management faculty, Dr. Park’s primary pedagogical goal is to foster an educational environment of constant engagement and interaction that enables students to transform from a passive observer to an active learner. With her specialty in mentoring and career in sport, Dr. Park desires to help her students be well-prepared for the next career chapter in various fields of sport by providing both conceptual and practical knowledge.
