Coaching Minor

Set yourself apart from other coaches.

The mission of the Western Illinois University Coaching Minor is to teach aspiring coaches to develop and execute a clearly defined coaching philosophy and to properly structure the sport environment through theoretically sound practices.

The minor conforms to the National Federation of High School Sports’ recommendations, Illinois High School Association coaching education guidelines, and the National Standards for Sport Coaches provided by SHAPE America.

Minor in Coaching Program: 19–20 credit hours
