Research Interests
For my Ph.D., I synthesized peptides and studied their mechanisms of action on the neurons of snails, Helix Aspersa, by using electrophysiological methods. After receiving my Ph.D., I went to the University of Iowa as a postdoctoral research associate. My postdoctoral research focused on studying potassium channel interaction in fruit flies, Drosophila melanogaster, by using molecular, biological and electrophysiological approaches. I enjoy teaching very much; it is nice to see my students learn something from my classes. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, photography, origami and Chinese dance.
