First time users: Log in to STARS with your WIU ID as the username. Your date of birth (mmddyyyy format) will be the temporary password when you first log in. Contact the Support Center at 309-298-TECH (8324) for assistance.

STARS will be your go-to place as a Leatherneck to access registration, grades, financial aid information, housing assignments, billing information, and much more.

Go to STARS->Financials tab to access:

1. Account detail: current account balance
2. Monthly billing statement
3. 1098-T: print PDF, forms are not mailed
   • No TIN/SSN on file? Fill out a W-9.

To add additional emails to receive Billing & Receivable notifications

• In STARS, go to My Profile->Billing Email

Log into your STARS account

Parent and Guest Access - Students may grant online access to their records to multiple guests (maximum of 5) by selecting Parent and Guest Access Management from the STARS "My Profile" menu. Students may provide different levels of access to their STARS account information for each guest. When a student creates a guest account, the guest is assigned a WIU ID Number and password. The student is responsible for communicating this information to the guest. The guest will use these two items to login to Parent and Guest Access.

Parent and Guest Access to STARS is the University's preferred method for parents to access information about their students.

Students - STARS->Financials->Direct Deposit Authorization. Fill out the Refund portion with bank account number and routing number.

Parents - Parent Plus Loan borrowers, fill out and return the Direct Deposit Authorization-Parent Borrower form.

1. Log into STARS->Financials->Payment Plan
2. Click on the “Sign up for a payment plan” link and login using your ECOM username and password.
3. Parents and guests can enroll at https://commerce.cashnet.com/wiupay, but your student will need to set up an authorized payer.
