Data Warehouse

Western Illinois University took part in HLC's Persistence and Completion Academy from 2014-2018. As a result of our membership a significant amount of data review and analysis took place. The team recommended the creation of the Data Warehouse as a way to support the ongoing needs of persistence and retention work across the university.

The result was the creation of the Data Warehouse. This warehouse, which is accessed using the Pentaho platform, includes 18 undergraduate cohorts; 80 demographic, application, academic, course placement, and financial aid filters, more than 2 dozen success measures such as course deficiencies, retention, and graduation rates and National Student Clearinghouse data.
